What a bummer...Not a happy new year for
the Broncos.

Shot in his limo on Speer Blvd.
If memory serves me, Speer runs just north of
the stadium and goes straight into one nasty area
of downtown.

The shooting was at 11th ave and Speer, just south of Downtown and ironically about 3 blocks away from Denver Health Medical Center... one of the best trauma facilites in the Rockies...

Really makes the loss to the 49ers irrevlavant.

It's sad because he was only 24, was in his second year, and left a wife and his kids behind. He definitely had a bright future with the Broncos.
