I bird hunt alot ! Birddog is my name on a hunting forum, so I changed it to Firedog for this forum, but I had to add 21 cause Firedog was taken. 21 was the first engine I worked on !

Okay, I'm a Lord of the Rings geek! A Ringer, some would say. I took one of those online quiz things about which character I would be. Since I had more than one answer to some questions, I did it twice. The first time I came out as the Ranger, Strider. The second time as the Captain of Gondor, Boromir. So, Rangercap. And, back in the day, my nickname was Jager. So, Ranger combines my married name, Randall, with my old nickname, Jager, as well.

Oh, to heck with all the explanations. Just call me Ranger! Everybody else does! LOL!

I have done this in another forum and it was pretty intresting to see the stories behind user names... i didn't see another thread like it, so here we go...



My last name is Olson, so, just a play off that, many people have called me Olie my whole life. A while ago, my buddy Aaron started calling me Olie Canoli, I suppose just because it rhymes.

About 4 years ago he was setting up an online poker account for me and the user name could only be 7 characters long, so, he shortened it to OlieCan.

All my friends have called me it ever since.

Mine's pretty simple...my two first public safety loves were LE and EMS (yes, I'm a "late-bloomer" in the Fire Service). 11-41 is the California Highway Patrol 11-code for EMS, so I'm "theEMSman", only in LE-speak.
