Sadly you opened this thread during "off hours" and since I dont have a home computer right now.... And for some stupid reason the firewalls from my office system wont allow me to view anything more than the current page of any thread.......... which REALLY SUCKS when I am trying to keep track of an interesting thread, and it goes to page "2" before I can read the last post of the previous page.

I pondered upon a suitable user name for some considerable time, then suddenly, like a bolt of lightning, a flash of inspiration failed to hit me....

Actually, I think I tried several more creative ones that all got kicked back for one reason or another (probably already in use)....

Hwoods, wanna weigh in on this one?

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

So, you mean the names like "Bull", "***-kickin-fireman" and "I-fight-what-you-fear-man" were already taken?!

Does that translate to something roughly like: "I was reading something else and you bumped me, jerk!"
            Something like that?

No. No sarcasm was intended. My office network does not allow FH.com to display pages past the current (active) page. Which really sucks as I say for trying to follow a desired thread from start to finish, or in the case of this one, to go back to page 1 and read the originating post. "Thank you Department of National Defence for .... well. Anyhow LOL

OH, I wasn't being sarcastic...I was guessing that really was the gist of things. Anyways, I'll quit posting and de-bumping whatever it is you're trying to read.
PS--I feel your pain--duoproxy and atunnel have that same problem--first page only. You'd think they'd figure out how to hammer out that little "feature"...

RDL = initials for city name (Riviere-du-Loup)

210 = old tag number before I made Lt, reading ChiefGonzo convinced me to just keep it

I can't think of anything new. I hate putting my gender in my names and my new car doesn't allow me to get too creative with it's name, or i'm just to damn dumb to think of something...

Well my family's Morgan horse farm is Sleipnir

Sleipnir was the 8 legged horse of the norse god Odin.
Our 1st mare was bred to a horse named Viking so through research we found out about Sleipnir & used it as our farm name.
I play a few fantasy/sci-fi on-line games (World of Warcraft, & Vanguard:Saga of Heros) Sleipnira is my handle/nickname on there so, figured it was just as well to continue it here.
I introduced myself on the meet & greet area in the thread about non-firefighters

oh, & speaking from experience on the WoW & Vanguard forums it doesn't matter if you bring up an old thread or start a new one on an old topic you'll get tease/harrassed either way..however you need to keep a smile on your face & just enjoy the conversation. IMHO
