Got a question. I am engaged to a firefighter/ Emt, and hopefully about to become an Emt myself. I am clueless is to what to get him for Valentines day and our 2 year anniversary. Is thier any new boots, gloves, lids, etc. etc. that would make good presents? any advice would be wonderful. Thanks

Maybe because I've see so much of it, and have so much of it, I would say avoid anything fire related. I have so much fire stuff around the house there hardly is room for anything else. Fire statues, collectibles, blankets, clocks, trinkets, etc. Maybe it's jsut me but I have enough of that stuff.
I would suggest to get something that has meaning between the two of you. Who knows, maybe it would be cool to get something like that too.

He'll probably want to eat when he gets home from work, and after that have some dinner. Why not surprise him when he walks through the door, by finding you dressed only in fire line tape? Its sure to get him hot and leave you wet. Apart from that, vowing to finish english 8 , will sure to please him.

This being a family paper,I won't comment on Dickey's idea.
I'd suggest simply asking him what he might want or need in the way of personal gear.It doesn't have to be pricey, either.
For example,he might think a bail out rope would be a great idea and they are easy to get on your own.Just go to a hardware store that carries tube webbing, get a 20 foot or so length of it and tie the ends together to make a loop.
Hope this helps.

Thanks again!
I also like thw idea of a St. Florian pendant/necklace. I wear a gold St. Florian necklace that my mom bought as a gift for me. This is the one I have: http://www.ourdesigns.com/product.jsp?path=-1|5159|5129|6522&id=1976
I also have a big St. Florian tattoo on my right arm as well.Last edited by fireman4949; 01-31-2007, 02:35 PM.Fire Lieutenant/E.M.T.

Why am I not surprised that the guy with the Pee Wee avatar had that comment!
His own set of irons? If you go that route, make sure you get something like a Pro-Bar and not some two piece halligan like they sell in some of those pricey Fire/EMS catalogs.Tom
