Season 6 of 24 starts tonight. Can't wait to see what happened to Jack Bauer after being caught by the Chinese at the end of last season. Any other 24 fans out there???

I'm going to go into details about the epi just to warn those who for some reason haven't yet.
They brushed off his two years in the hand of the Chinese like it was some small plot detail. I mean the scars and his little moment of being unsure of himself stem from that. But they completely left out things regarding it. Maybe they are going to visit it in a later episode.
Regardless, good stuff.
Can't wait for tommorows episode.

Yea it is. I can only watch it on DVD. Watching it with a week between episodes and commercial interuptions would drive me to the point of doing crack. I watched season 5 for the most part in one shot without stopping and never got off my couch for an entire day.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.
I think this start is weaker then previous seasons. So far its the same plot devices as previous seasons, which is getting a little old but now they've added a lot more "love entanglements", which just gets annoying. What is this 24-90210? It just seems that the series has taken to an ever-escalating terrorist threat as if the writers are saying "We need to one-up last season, I know! make it 11-cities this time."
I do think it is understandable that they start the season with his return from China. If they didn't then the whole season would take place on the flight over the ocean.

We bought a season for our vacation last year. Made the two 6-hour flights much more enjoyable!
This season also seems to have a lot more comercials

There's alot of shows since 2001 I haven't watched. As long as I have cable,a VCR or DVD,I won't have to watch stuff like "Millionaire","Fear Factor"or "Survivor"because I think those are the dumbest shows ever conceived.
Who was it said something about Television being a vast wasteland? He's right.

That was Marshall McLuhan.

Sorry Gonz. The "wasteland" description is from a speech given by a man named Newton Minnow.
McLuhan's famous quip (amongst many) is the "medium is the message."
Yup.. you are correct. I tried to access the ionformation tucked deep inside of my grey matter from the days of being a Communications major in college.. and pulled up the wrong file!

The point is valid,no matter who said it.When people can name last year's American Idle winners and also rans better than they can their state's elected representatives, there's something wrong with the country.
