Fdny Vehicles
My fire company went to an auction in April 2003 where 10 Mack Pumpers and 1 Seagrave were on the block. We wound up going home with my second choice 1988 Mack Ward 79 that was Engine 24 in Manhattan and then Reserve E-509. We were told it was assigned to a Queens Company after 9/11 but dont know whiich one. Other than repainting her , putiing lights and a Q siren back on and the adapters on the discharges, we havent spent a dollar on her since. She runs as our Rescue truck. We are getting a Pierce next month after testing the Pumper Rescue concept since 2003. We got her for $ 4800 and change and put ummmm $ 600 into her
Stay safe
here is the auction link. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcas/html/au...auctions.shtml
