However, I think the "hinted" safety message is sound.

Two-Alarm Fire Burns Fairfax Town Home

    POSTED: 7:54 am EST November 14, 2006
    UPDATED: 8:30 am EST November 14, 2006

SPRINGFIELD, Va. -- Fairfax County firefighters are trying to determine the cause of an early-morning blaze that swept through a town home development in Springfield, Va.

Fire investigators said the fire broke out just after 3 a.m. Tuesday inside a town home in the 7700 block of Saratoga Ridge Court. The fire then extended to several other town homes.

Fire officials said the fire displaced 30 people, but that number has now been reduced to four.

Officials said no one was injured, but a cat perished.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but investigators said a Christmas tree was located next to a burning fireplace.

I was in Wal-Mart the week before Haloween. There was a slight confusion of holidays. I saw Haloween stuff, as was expected, but right beside it all was Christmas, and Thanksgiving. Talk about CONFUSION of holidays..........

No wonder Linus Van Pelt was talking about the Great Pumpkin swooping down and giving presents to all the good little boys and girls 40 years ago.

            holidays?

Halloween is just a one night passing fling so the candy makers can get a little slaes in and Thanksgiving is all but forgotten as Christmas has come very early and all the stores are already decorated and playing the music. It all has to do with marketing and sales. What really irritates me is the commercialization of things like Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
