Gee that sounds like I place I know back home.... At least three times a year (some years more) their AFA goes off, and the Manager always calls in to Dispatch to 'call us off' and then runs out to meet us on the street before we get in the building, "so as not to scare the patrons". Ya whatever. It was my goal (never achieved ) to be off the truck and have a line in hand and in the door before the Manager could meet us. Never got any closer than having my hand on the nozzle.......

But some day they are going to have "the real deal" and a lot of people are going to get hurt. Sad but true.

While I only understand some of the basics concerning Kerry and his "story", I can fully understand Doug's feelings. I know of one or two 'personages' for whom I feel the same way. And ya, trying to explain to the RSM why you DID NOT salute (especially when you know HE knows why) is always a difficult task.
