You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Geeesh.. I'm glad she cares, but honestly lady! I'm glad that has never happened to me, especially since it isn't illegal here. She wouldn't need to call the cops, I'd do it for her... she's psycho.

The thing is, legal or not.... it just AINT SAFE. Period. A friend of one of my cousins is not "with us" anymore because he got dumped out of the back of a pick up on a logging road. I would have backed her up 100% on that. Bad enough seeing folks who have been ejected out of the side windows of their cars, no need for being blown out of the box of a pick up.

Hey where is that? Looks like a town SC. Just Kidding. That is about how nosey they are here though. I love it here but on the outskirts that what happens 'round here. They don't do it in your face that bad though. They just do it behind your back. People around care and will speak up like that which is great but not when they come off like that.

I agree 100% it isn't safe at all. However, if that lady honestly wanted to be taken serious, she should act in a civilized manner and not like some lunatic. I'm sure those guys would have paid more attention to her and possibly even listened to her if she had quietly approciate them and explained to them that it is extremely dangerous to be in the bed of a truck... and if she REALLY cared about them, offered to give the ones a ride who couldn't safely sit (buckled) inside the truck. That would have been more effective than just walking over to them, blasting them out, and telling them you're going to call the cops. I'm not condoning their actions, but if someone came over to me and just started yelling and carrying on like that.. First thing I'd probably do is tell them they need to get a grip, then I'd walk away.. If they can approach me in a calm/cool/collected way I'd be willing to listen to them, but as long as they are pitching a fit like a 2 yr. old, they not going to effectively communicate their point. It's all about how you present yourself when approaching someone, if you immediately start bashing them, calling them idiots, and all that.. obviously anyone would immediately tune you out and get defensive.

Amen to that!! They wouldn't get in your face, but you better believe they'll be on that phone when they get home. I can hear it now, "Oh, you just won't believe whose boys I saw riding in the back of a pick-up at the Snappy Mart. Did their parents not teach them that was dangerous, I sure hope nothing happens to those boys..." Gotta love it..!

I agree with what you said. They need to talk to you with manners and a voice of concern to convey the message and hope that the teenagers will listen. Around here they don't waste any time hopeing you will listen. They straighten you out even if you are straight.

You crack me up. That is exactly what happens. They go right home or over to
where ever they need to and say exactly what you said. The next thing you know 2 people are calling you and one person is at your door. I call it slapping on the wrist.

When I first moved here, I was like oh man people have such good manners, I love the South. I am used to people being so rude. But then I realized that they just don't say it to your face. I must say I prefer people straight forward but with a little tact please. Alot of people 'round here will say "I ain't gonna blow no smoke up ya ***" I love that saying, but those are the biggest bull****ters. They are so full of themselves and believe half the **** that comes out of their mouth because according to them what they say IS the LAW. hahaha.

Well y'all will have noticed that I didn't comment on her presentation - I don't agree with her method of delivery - only the message she was trying to pass on. It would seem that she is very empassioned by her convictions, and while that is admirable in itself, the delivery left much to be desired.

Hey...we all did that (as least I know I did) as kids. My issue...is the one in the Marines, hat standing there with his back to her. I was always taught, that when you are being spoken to whether it alone or in a group, face the person that is talking to you....

If someone I didn't know approached me and started yelling like that, I think I'd turn around and ignore them just to keep from saying/doing something I'd regret. You got to give respect to gain respect, ESPECIALLY if you don't know the people. As long as you stand there and yell at me like you don't have any sense, I will continue to treat you like you don't have any sense!

Sigh. I guess I was "brow-beaten" differently by Mother. I'll stand there and take what the person has to say, and try and hold my temper (that part is not always easy LOL) And when they are done, most times thank them for their input and make some kind of smart remark that has sarcasm dripping from it (depending on how you receive it ) and walk away.

I have found, especially down this way, that trying to walk away or ignore someone like the lady in the vid, is just an open door to further haranging from the individual - usually they just wont shut up. So stopping to listen "attentively" gets the pain over with a bit quicker - most times. Of course if I am really not interested in hearing any of it, I just dont slow down, with the phrase "Shows over. There is nothing to see here... keep moving .............. " running through my head.
