Could this be construed as a "good day" then? It sure didn't start out well, unless NOT getting into an accident whist having a rear tire shred its tread off the casing.

Was a wonderful start to the day: "Hi AAA. Can I order up a tow truck please? Great. Thanks."

And no, the truck does not have a spare - it didnt come with one, and I havent been able to find a decent spare rim, let alone with a good tire.

No relation.. However, I've been known to go for a week without shaving..

Oh, and usually, I'm not blue all over.. If you find me blue all over, please check for a pulse, and if necessary, commence CPR ASAP... A defib might be handy as well...

                  • Dear Great Pumpkin,

Hello, how have you been? I know that you are preparing for your great Halloween Flight. I hope that you have noticed that I've been really good this year. I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I'd like for you to bring me.. That big red guy that chases the reindeer always brings me lots of charcoal. So, in preparation for his delivery, could you please bring me some vacuum packed steaks and hamburger patties? I promise to save them until after that "other holiday." I also promise to eat sweet potatoe pie for Thanksgiving, and NOT PUMPKIN. Have a great Fall! On second thought, be careful, and try not to have a great fall. That would be horrible.

                    Your friend,

                    David

                    • There are Oreo branded Chewy Granola Bars. I can eat healthy now!!

I grilled some turkey legs for our family's 4th of July celebration. The taste was outstanding, but the texture of grilled leg tendons was not so well received. My next turkey grilling adventure will be with a boneless turkey breast that has been sliced into breakfast steak sized cuts.

What would be the most unusual thing that has crossed your grill? (besides that possum that wasn't quick enough last night..)

                      • Well, I have BBQ'd a full sized (25lb) turkey and a 3lb beef roast - two of each over the years.

As for "unusual" nothing that I can think of that might suit the description, I think.

Hey! It seems like you can grill just about anything these days, even deserts. I'm the more traditional girl. To me, pork chops always taste better grilled as do burgers and hot dogs.

                          • About the only time I use the oven in the house now is for baking, and since I dont do a whole heck of a lot of baking......

Tis a really bad day in my house when the propane tank goes dead. That sucks cuz its usually right in the middle of making a meal. Fortuantely the UHaul down the road will do refills.

                            • I just paid my electric bill for last month....

                              $4.45.

I know I live in a studio and it is all electric..but I can tell when I don't do any baking (and very little cooking, dinners are quick grilled chicken and fresh veggies).

I think I need to get out from behind the books more often.
