Ya me neither. Tomato in ANY burger or sandwich just makes it YYUUUKKK. Especially when the tomato starts to get all mushy.

              • Sniff... Sniff...

What's that smell? It isn't a dead thread... Hmmm... Nope, not dead, just needs a shower once in a while. I may be gone at work for a couple of days at a time, but I will not just let this poor thread be cast away like two day old shrimp.

Time for a good pressure washing.....
Yep, that is all this thread needs... A good cleaning from top to bottom. Maybe a shot of Jack Daniels.... That would help sanitize things again.
Superchef, why all the determination to destroy this great world that we live in. Sure, the name "thread killer" probably wasn't the nicest name, but I stand behind it, proud to have posted. If it is the thread that causes you pain, then you should embrace it, feed it, and help it grow. It our responsibility as stewards of the text to keep this thread alive, active, and growing so that our posterity will inherit the knowledge contained within. Besides, what other thread on this website am I qualified to post in? Yep, this is my favorite place to type my mindless dribble, and hope somebody will find it interesting.

Ok, off my high-horse, and back to fishing. I think I will be throwing my favorite Buzzbait tomorrow. I hope I can catch a few good keepers, early. Then I will switch to a worm or brush-hog and work through a few lily pads towards the back of a creek. When the sun gets high, I'll probably back off to the deeper creek channel and Carolina rig the drops. I might even flip a jig near the stumps in the mouth of it. I would like to have a good finish in our club tournament tomorrow.
Oh, I forgot to mention, Lunch will probably be a can of Vienna sausages and a pack of crackers..
I fish for a living, but I have to work for money...

                    • I echo Harve's sentiments. Was a beeeaauuutttttiiiiffuuull day here. Spent just over an hour cutting the grass out front, and then the rest of the day mostly just lounging. First time I've been able to do that in a few weeks, was kinda nice. But back on the big white box tomorrow afternoon, and agian on Monday.

                          • Yesterday was a great day for fishing, however, my plan for the day changed within the first hour. My buzzbait just didn't feel right, so I switched to a spinnerbait. Within a few casts I had my first keeper. Then, I tried my lily pad and creek channel pattern that worked a few weeks ago.. No avail.. Back to the spinnerbait, with the trolling motor on medium. I covered lots and lots of water, and fished grassbeds and sparse cover(isolated stumps) with a spinnerbait on my way to a fourth place finish with 8.10 lbs. I fish in a Bass Federation Club that has several previous State Champions. I was really happy to actually be competitive among so many people that I respect.
Lunch was actually a bag of home-made peanut brittle from a local gas station, and an RC cola. Then, a trip by a fast food place for a quick cheeseburger on the way home. Nice to see our Highway Patrol out doing seatbelt checks, while my pickup has frenchfries and cheeseburger evidence all over the front seat. And yes, sir, I will get a new inspection sticker before the end of the month, Thanks Mr. Officer for pointing that out.

Thank you to all the men and women who have fought to protect my freedom to go fishing this weekend. I hope everybody has a safe Memorial Day.
I fish for a living, but I have to work for money...
