  • Guess What Chief Reason Did Now....

I made reference to this in the Lairdsville thread but I did not expand because I did not feel it appropriate.

I received a small package in the mail while I was out of town. I opened it and to my amazement inside was a "Purple Hydrant" (Ludlow Brand I think???). YES!! I am serious.... I quickly placed it on the shelf above my PC on my desk and had to explain to my girlfriend just exactly what a "purple hydrant" signifies and just how I managed to get it..... She has often said that I am very opinionated....>>WHO ME???

She has 15 years on the job and I told her if she behaves we may allow her to apply.....

    Thanks CR...

It is either WAY to large or it won't post . Perhaps I will send it to NJ and have him do it for me. Have to shoot a pic and then get them developed. This week.....Stand by!

NJ....an award for behaving????? I do not suppose that you even think you would be considered for that one do you????

You know; I guess that I was so consumed by dementia at the time I was packaging it up for Stan that I never even thought about snapping a picture of it. And I mean, it's a bute.
I have told our water superintendent to contact the hydrant salesman and bring a trunkload of them when he visits again.
I can see value in this!
Now, I know some of you that have been awarded the Purple Hydrant are a little envious and quite possibly, a little mad, but I only had one and let's face; Stan is a three time, three time, three time recipient of the Purple Hydrant.
According to my limited math skills, I owe him two more!
Stan; did you know that they make cameras now that don't take film, but work off a smart chip, floppy disk or internal memory? You just hook them to a docking station, hit the button, it loads it to your computer and then you can edit and send. Amazing! I just turned 51 you know. I'm glad that I was still around for that technological breakthrough.
That is a pretty purple, wouldn't you agree?

CR...I am just mastering the PC skills and some things still give me a fit..... However, my Girlfriends daughter has a digital camera (she has more money that she knows what to do with obviously) and perhaps I will have her do it for me. I have no problem getting it on my PC...it is just transferring it to the site that kills me!
