In addition, SPEN 1 is broadcasting information on a missing Yankee second baseman, who apparently failed to show up in the post season.

The former outstanding hitting Al, a.k.a "Strikeout" Soriano was last seen swinging at pitches that were a foot off the plate.

Persons resembling Soriano have been sighted in a Miami stadium, however, upon further investigation, those reports were discounted.

    Luis Soho anyone?

I think they went deep sea fishing off the coast of Miami and their boat sank.

Last I checked, the World Series was not over....yet.

One thing I have learned as a Red Sox fan, never count the Yankees out.

There's baseball after the ALCS? I thought all baseball stopped after the Red Sox were eliminated (which is usually right after the All-Star break).

Yes, unfortunately, you can never count the Yankees out.

                ----------------------------------------

A little girl went to her second grade class one day and the teacher said "I'm a Yankees fan. Who else is a Yankees fan?" The whole class raised their hands except for the little girl, so the teacher asked her, "Whats your favorite team?" When the little girl said the Red Sox, the teacher asked her why and she answered, "My mom and dad are Red Sox fans, so I am a Red Sox fan." The teacher became annoyed and so she asked, "Well if your dad was an idiot and your mom was an idiot, what would that make you?" The little girl replied "That would make me a Yankees fan."

What's this I hear? Pedro a Yankee in 2004? The curse of the El Beano will afflict Boston.

Don't bet your life. The Yankee fans are too smart for that. They Yankees have bigger problems than their starting rotation, namely the bullpen and centerfield.

After Pedro committed Aggravated Assault on Karim Garcia and Terroristic Threats on Posada, the Tankee fans will never accept that arrogant piece of garbage in pinstripes.

Don't talk to me about Nelson and Garcia. They didn't assault anyone. They got into a fight with an idiot.

5 freaking hits. You have to be kidding me. Predictions:

                      1. Torre stays, but most of the coaches are gone
                      2. Soriano to CF
                      3. Petite gets resigned at huge money
                      4. Weaver is selling windows at Lowes
                      5. Pedro will NOT be in pinstripes
                      6. Cashman is gone
                      7. Steinbrenner goes on an emotional spending spree similar to that of a premenstrual woman
                      8. Hammond is gone
                      9. Marlins do the same thing they did the last time...they dump all of their stars and the owner pockets the money.
                      10. Yankees are in the World Series 2004

BTW, Josh Becket is going to be a helluva pitcher.

Steinbrenner is not an evil man. He has good and bad points. He spends money to put a winner in that ballpark. His investments are larger than many, many other baseball owners who pocket the profits. He is silly to expect a man that he pays several millions of dollars per year to actually show up every day ready to go to work (that is why Jeff Weaver will be selling Dodge Neons next year). He passionately loves the gane of baseball and respects its traditions; especially the traditions of the Yankees.

His flaws? He is a miserably demanding human being. He thinks he knows more about the intracacies of the game of baseball than he does. He often forgets his place in the food chain. He is a publicity junkie and he speaks his mind whenever he feels like it without thinking.

All things considered, I'll take George. When CBS owned the team in the 60's and 70's, the team was a perennial last place team.

Can/Will CBS buy the team back? We can only dream...

Torre is going to be in a Sox uniform next year, baby! LOL
