  • Firefighting Themed Restaurants

I was just wondering if any of you know of any firefighting themed restaurants out there. I was having a discussion with a friend about how cool of an idea a restaurant with a firefighting theme would be so I decided to do some research to see if there were some. I did come across one on the internet. www.spot-firehouse.com
Just wondering if there were more out there somewhere. If you know of websites, that would be wonderful, but any information is fine. I know that if there are some out there, you guys/gals probably know all about them.
    Thanks! Have a great day!

"Engine House No.5" is a restaurant in the German Village area of Columbus, Ohio. I believe they specialize in seafood. The building was actually one of Columbus FD's old stations.

Our local Applebees has their front lobby covered with artifacts from our department. The last remaining building in our Old Town is the home of the oldest pub in town, who just resently purchased the hardware store attached to it. The owner came to our training meeting last month and told us he is opening a micro-brewery in the hardware building, and wanted to know what we thought about using our fire dept. as a theme! If it does come to pass I will post pictures.

Firehouse Brewing Company, in Rapid City, SD. The brewery is located in the old rapid City Firehouse.

Our New Applebee's in Marquette, MI. has things in the front loby from the Twp. Volly dept. that they are in. Also There was a place called Sparky's in Minneapolis near my apt. there. It was an old fire station. It's mostly a bar at night but do serve food and such. Live bands, dancing, all that good stuff. It was very cool!

Calgary, Alberta has one too. The Hose & Hound Neighbourhood Pub. I haven't been there yet so here's a blurb I found about it. I've heard it has GREAT food.

YellowPages.ca (YP.ca) connects you to Canada's businesses, products and services, providing all the information from the business directory: addresses and telephone numbers + videos, photos, email and web sites

                  The Place
What happens when you take an old decommissioned fire hall and convert it into a pub? Well, call 911 because that's what some bright sparks did with Calgary's original #3 fire hall turning it into one of Inglewood's trendiest neighborhood hot spots. This joint has everything but the fire pole.

                  The Food
Featuring a full menu with items like spicy Chili Inferno — guaranteed to spark any willing taste bud and the $13 Rack O' Ribs & Chicken for one hungry fireman &1#151; the Hose & Hound is definitely a must visit. Designed around the original structure it offers full seating on the main floor and, if you are not afraid of heights, you can relax upstairs on a catwalk that overlooks the bar.

Throw in some pool tables, darts, weekly live rock 'n' roll and jazz, and you could easily set the place on fire. —Cyril Campbell

                    MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

                    When in Philly......

Engine 46 Steakhouse, Located in South Philly at Christopher Columbus Blvd (formerly known as Delaware Ave) and Reed Street. An OUTSTANDING steakhouse/grill/bar located in a former Philadelphia Fire Station dating back to the late 1800's. They are a bit pricey, but the portions are plentiful....and the food is just fantastic! Be sure to try the porterhouse with a baked sweet potato, or the smothered chicken (a large boneless breast with bacon, colby & jack cheese, & onions & peppers) and ribs combo.

The entire place is decorated with photos and memorabilia of the Philadelphia Fire Department. If you are a firefighter, bring a patch from your department for display and also identification and receive 10% off the bill. Expect large crowds during typical heavy times. Reservations only taken for larger groups if I remember right. And then after enjoying the steak, head up Delaware Ave to the Club Strip!

There is the Firehouse Tavern in Carney, Maryland and the Red Brick Station in White Marsh, Maryland. Both are in the Baltimore suburbs.

There is an Applebee's outside Baltimore that has it's walls decorated in old fire stuff. One wall has hundred's of signatures on it where firefighter's from across the nation have signed it.

Also...I think there is some sort of firefighter's restaurant in Chicago.

I have heard of one somehwere in California but not sure....

And...we can not forget the Ott House at Emmittsburg Maryland. Any of us that have been at the NFA have been to the Ott House. While it is not a fire department bar per say...it is decorated with patches and memoribilia from different fire departments around the world that have been there and left momentos.

                              The Ott House

...in Emmittsburg, Md. - not exactly a "fire department themed" restaurant, but, probably largely due to it's proximity to the National Fire Academy, they have a large amount of fire department memorabilia and patches from all over the country displayed. Good food and reasonable prices, so check it out if you are ever in the central Maryland area.
