Christmas in June? Hardly.
NEW YORK (AP) - A man allegedly trying to commit a burglary was
stuck in a chimney in Queens for several hours early Friday before
emergency personnel were able to remove him, authorities said.
Police and fire personnel were called to an address on 37th
Avenue and 84th Street in Jackson Heights just before 3 a.m.,
according to Fire Department spokesman Robert Calise.
Police said an investigation determined that the man was in the
process of trying to commit a burglary when he became lodged in the
chimney.
Emergency personnel had to break through a wall to remove the
man, whose name was not released.
He was arrested on a burglary charge and taken to Elmhurst
Hospital in stable condition, police said.
