There are many Fire Departments and Associations that participate in their communities Relay For Life. And I know that the "Midnight Firefighter Walk" and the "Wash my car with a Fire Truck" are a couple of creative ways I have heard of for fundraising.

There are many Fire Departments and Associations that participate in their communities Relay For Life. And I know that the "Midnight Firefighter Walk" and the "Wash my car with a Fire Truck" are a couple of creative ways I have heard of for fundraising.

I would like to hear what your team does as it's fundraiser?

We've thought about doing relay for life before, but never have done it. Every year however, one of our neighboring departments holds its own dept fundraising event: they set up in one of the major intersections in town, narrow traffic to two lanes and have firefighters with boots go car to car asking for money. Every year is very successful-- they raise thousands of dollars.
