What a tough question- I'd have a hard time choosing 10 fave GENRE's, lol...
Kudos to whomever posted "Alcohol" by Brad Paisley!! One of the most accurate songs ever!
My tastes fluctuate constantly, so as of this moment, here are ten or so Righteous tunes:
Miss Ida B- Buddy Guy
Not my Cross to Bear- Allmann Bros.
Mister Banker Skynard
Was I Right or Wrong?- Skynard
The Wall- Kansas
Burning Angel- Arch Enemy
Enemy Within- "
Vultures-"
Use the Man- Megadeth
Dread and the Fugitive Mind- Megadeth
In My World- Anthrax
Creepy Green Light- Type O Negative
Fascination Street- The Cure
My Hero- Foo Fighters
Sleepwalking- Kittie
And that doesn't even scratch the surface...
For cover tunes:
Just about any that George Thorougood does!! esp " The Sky is Crying"
"In the Flesh" as done by Type O negative.
" Run Like Hell" Kittie's version- good driving song, MUST get full volume!
"Stripped" Rammstein
"Hurt" Johnny Cash. The original by Nine Inch Nails is great, too.
" Like a Prayer" The Revolting Cocks Take THAT, Madonna!
Ask me tomorrow, and I'll tell you something else!

Top 10 songs is kinda a toughie...
According to itunes, the top 10 most played songs on my itunes would be:
1) Papa Roach - To Be Loved
2) Serj Tankian - Empty Walls
3) Soil - Pride
4) A Change of Pace - Weekend Warriros
5) Breaking Benjamin - Diary of Jane
6) Asia - Heat of the Moment
7) Slipknot - Before I forget
8) Avenged Sevenfold - Scream
9) Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down
10) The Lonely Island - I'm on a Boat
Now, this list only includes what's been played while sitting at the computer. And my brothers also go on there, and songs are left on repeat for hours on end at times, so this list isn't really a good representation.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band would be my overall favorite, so honestly, I think I'd need to make their own top 10 (if I can narrow it down that much). I've listened to endless hours of Bruce, far beyond any other song.
1) Jungleland
2) Badlands
3) Born to Run
4) Backstreets
5) Streets of Fire
6) Thunder Road
7) Racing in the Street
8) Candy's Room
9) Promised Land
10) Darkness on the Edge of Town
...alright nevermind, I can't really limit Bruce to top 10. Those just happen to be the first 10 in order on my ipod.
Since neither of those lists are really fair, I'm going to have to go with this, artists that I'll pretty much listen to everything they have, and love every second of it:
1) Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
2) Hootie and the Blowfish (Especially the album "Cracked Rear View" I could listen to that album over and over again for hours on end)
3) Meatloaf - Especially stuff off Bat Out of Hell.

I've only played "Jump" on my grocery boat when we had the police rescue team onboard for a bridge jumper.Until they made me quit it. But I digress.
There have been some foul balls in the music bidness during all eras (Disco, anyone?) but there has also been some really good tunes being put out.

Man, How can I limit this to ten? lol. This won't even be my all time top ten, this is just what's gonna come to mind right now.
Don't Stop Believing-Journey
Spacebound-Eminem
Awake and Alive-Skillet
Back in Black-AC/DC
Tuesday's Gone-Lynard Skynard
Wonderwall-Oasis
Hotel California- The Eagles
Piano Man-Billy Joel
Half-Truism- The Offspring
Lost for Words-Pink Floyd
After typing this up, I'm realizing this is definitely NOT my top ten all time favorites, but more of a sampling of what I listen to. I could go on and on and on. I absolutely love music.
I go on random kicks of an artist. So depending on the week my top ten changes. At the moment I'm on an Eminem kick, couple days ago I was on Pink Floyd and that's all I listened to, week before it was We Are Scientists. Top tens are incredibly difficult lol.
