Trip out west

I searched for a little bit and couldn't find much. This weekend, I'm going to Vegas for two days and was wondering if there was a FH that I just had to hit, a not to miss house? Also, I'll be laid over in San Fransisco for two or so hours and wondering if there was a FH near the airport that I could hit? Thanks in advance guys.

Theres 3 at the airport. You could probably visit 2 of them. Near the airport you have South San Francisco and Burlingame.

Prior to my trip to Boston, I emailed their PIO to inquire about any rules they may have regarding visitors, etc. The response I got back was more than I could have ever asked for. I was asked where I was staying and then given directions, very accurate ones too, to the closest houses near my hotel along with lots of other useful information regarding Boston Fire.

I guess my suggestion is to see if the same would work for you. Never know what may turn up.

If there was one not to miss I would say CCFD 32 which is located inside the City Center complex in the middle of the strip. It's a brand new station and very busy and of course the location makes it very unique.

Thanks for the info guys. I just emailed LV. How will I go about getting from the terminal to the station at San Fran? I know I can't just walk across the runway, haha.

If this house is within the airport and on their property, you would have a better chance trying to get a flight to the moon. Unless they know you and know you well, as one of them, you have to be escorted to that house across the airport property. It won't happen, Pal.


I think I would stay in the terminal unless I had a lay over of 6 hours or so. Saying this, when you leave the terminal, you have to be back in time to go throught the security screening again. It may not be worth if for an hour or two. Plus tring to get a taxi back to the airport, unless the brothers would take you back on the rig, which I would doubt.

I would have to agree with this. If you only have a few hours in SFO, you are better off just staying in the airport. Have a nice trip.

2 of our stations at SFO have street side access [ 1 and 3 ]. Both have parking lots and doors on the street side. 2 house is completely inaccessable but occassionally 1 and 3 have visitors. Best thing to do is grab a taxi. Hope this helps.
