CaptOldTimer- That makes great sense. Even though our Captain's wear silver and our Chief's wear gold, the FF and Fire Engineer would not have to remove and add another color stripe until they promote to an Officer. I'll pass that along to the committe. We have a new Chief and Deputy Chief who are from different areas of Oregon. The Oregon State Fire Chief's Association uses Royal Blue for any position below Officer. Thanks for time.

    Chief's - Gold

    Officer's - Silver

    Non-Officer - Black

Deputy Chief wants to change non-officer sleeve stripes to Blue. Does anyone know of any FD that uses this for Class A.

    No.

Very Simple and it reflects as does the trumpets on the collar does.

All our Officers have gold stripping on the sleeves.

    1 1/2" Strip Lieutenant
    2 1/2" Strips Captain
    3 1/2" Strips Battalion Chief
    4 1/2" Strips Deputy Chief
5 1/2" Strips Chief of the Department

Firefighter Grade do not have any strips on the sleeve. Haven't earned them so they don't wear them.

You can have them wear a silver firefighter scramble on the lapels of the Class A Blouse to indicate FF as does the Officer wearing the appropriate Trumpets on theirs.
