I had a great Fourth of July.Turned 45,grilled stuff,hung out with my niecelings,had to prove that I WASN'T grilling the pet rabbits,and generally had a good time,despite the buzzkills on the Memphis City Council who didn't spring for a fireworks show on the river this year.
It's rare that I have had the day off since I started my working life but when I do,I make sure to enjoy it because while my Navy hitch was during peacetime,there were people who died protecting our freedom and securing it for others who probably will never visit the United States of America.
