(Meredith-AP) -- Meredith (New Hampshire) is looking into buying
back a piece of its firefighting history.
A 1928 Double A Ford fire engine that was the town's first
motorized piece of fire equipment is up for sale.
Local historian Jim Wallace said he met the owner of the truck
about ten years ago and told him that if he ever wanted to sell the
truck, he should call. He called.
The truck is expected to sell for about 25 thousand dollars.
Deputy Fire Chief Andre Kloetz says the volunteer fire
department is willing to help raise money for the truck and he'd
like to meet with civic groups in town to see if they would be
willing to help .
