Base Scanner

Hi,
I am looking to be getting a scanner for my house (car) ((Legal Purposes)) and i was wondering what would be a good one to get. my price range is around $200.

Depending on where you are and what you are going to listen to it may break you bank.

If your just needing 155 or lower you can get a cheaper scanner. Also how many freq. will you be scanning?

155Mhz or lower has nothing to do with it. Any scanner, even the cheap ones, will cover the useful frequency ranges from 39 through the 800's.

It's digital modulation (aka- P25) that brings the price up to about $500. Digital modulation can be used on any frequency.

Need more info? Depending on the freq. your wanting to hear. In my area we are Apco 25 and require the more $$$ scanners. If your just needing 155 or lower you can get a cheaper scanner. Also how many freq. will you be scanning?

I have had a Uniden Bearcat BC350 for several years and have had nothing but good luck with it.
