Looping the hose around the front of the unit and tying it to the hose is another option.

When I took the basic pump operator's course a couple years ago in Kentucky,we were taught to always loop the hose around,whether you were going to tie the master stream down or sit on the dang thing.
As another poster said,there need to be something to tie off to either from the fire scene or in the engineer's compartment on the rig.
A deck gun can be used to blitz a burning trailer to the amusement of the crew when it roll over but remember Newton's law.Enough water to knock over a doublewide will also push back on the gun itself.

I knew it. I assumed in his other post that he belonged to that awsome NYC firehouse, the Engine 66/Ladder 62 house or the only ALS Squad in NY, Squad 55. But seeing this, he definitly belongs to 66/62.
