I am tasked to do a training session on "Radio Communications"...I am wondering if anyone out there has a powerpoint presentation they would share with me, so I do not have to "reinvent the wheel", so to speak...

    e-mail to: [email protected]

Thanks, and be safe out there!

"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Good Idea can you post a link?

Probably alot of people would like to see and share this and alot of other plans, procedures, guidelines, etc etc. Hey web team you listening? Any way to make a share multiple downloads area?

(ooops sorry Haweater we must have been typing at the same time, great idea!)
(should now be CharlieRFD,past,Pres.), but I've had this screen name for so long, I'm keeping it..., besides I'm Deputy Chief now.

Whoa, didn't know I'd create such a demand I'll e-mail to each of you who asked. Hey, haweater, great idea! How about it, Webteam? Could we get some kind of "share" area where we could put training powerpoints, lesson plans and such? (I know Firehouse.com has a "Downloadable Drills" section, which is handy, but having an area where we could share some of our own presentations would be nice, too.)

For something along these lines, you all might want to check out www.feti.lsu.edu. It is Louisiana State University's fire training website. On the lower right of the home page is a link titled "TRADE Repository", where you can find hundreds of training downloads for free. Check it out, you might find something you can use.

Thanks for the email. I also checked out the website. I am getting some good stuff for our dept as we are finally starting to develop training criteria and SOP's.

Do you work in the industry?
