Sutphen 104' Aerial Ladder Operations

Up here in Ma we opperate our 104' Sutphen non quint with a 3" non prepiped line usually with a solid stream nozzle at 80 PSI combo at 100 PSI. It connects to the pump with a 3" discharge (in your case 5") straight into the 3" line which is 150' up the ladder to the master applience. As for nozzle tip the 1 1/2" (600 gpm) solid stream tip is always on our unless it is being used for water curtain ie: ruptured high preasure gas line etc. Then we would use the combo. As for ladder placement we try to get it off the front or back for obvious reasons (stability) but placement of the ladder depends on the driver and we all know how that goes. HAHAHA But it all depends on what your trying to put out as for what you flow. I dont know if this really helps you but just figured I would throw it out there

looking for recommended pump pressures,nozzle selections (including why you would select a certain nozzle),best aerial placement(off the front ,back,side,45 degree angle,etc .

Looking for info on step by step procedures regarding Sutphen 104' aerial(not a quint) to flow water into fly pipe/ladder pipe using a 5" supply line supported by an Engine.
