Can anyone tell me what the status of the VSDS proposal that was talked about in the University of Extrication is? Did it make it to Capitol Hill?I talked about the idea in a "Phases of Rescue" class but was unable to give any details about the status of it. <br />Also, does anyone have the "Holmatros Emergency Rescue Guide" (I think thats the name of it) Is it useful or should I not ask the chief for it.

That book that holmatro puts out is like 128 dollars and there are supplements to it that are not cheap either.

The book they put out is just copied infomation that you can pick up just about any place for a lot less money.(sometimes it's even free ) Dont waste your money on that book.

If you do not have a Special Ops Team or have continuing classes on vehicle extrication, the book has vital information in it that could come in handy when performing an extrication. With the new car technology that is out there and is always changing, it is hard to remember everything and the Homatro Book could be of use. The cost should not come into play especially if the book is used and it saves someone from getting severly injured (the patient or even responding rescue workers).
