  • Pacific Kiwi Helmets

My Rescue Co is looking into purchasing the pacific kiwi rescue helmets. Do any dept's out there currently use the pacific helmets for rescue? If so, where did you purchase them and what price range are we looking at here?

    Thanks
    JH

I've used the Kiwi helmets for years, with excellant results. They work well for vehicle rescue and USAR. Well made, tough, repairable and worth the cost. I would suggest the mounted light pod. I certainly would recommend the helmet.

The above link is correct, we bought 50 for our Heavy Rescue Team and got them for $130 bucks. We use them for extrication, rope, con-space, trench, and USAR work. Very comfortable and lightweight.

Our Con-Space & Tech. Rescue team has 6 w/ Light Pod in our equipment trailer. Although I have had limited "time in lid" - I like them. Very comfortabe & the light pod is a nice touch.

Also - we have one guy who has a Kiwi w/ Light Pod that he wears while operating the Dozer & brush/woods fires.

          my .02 cents worth.

            Try contacting:

I believe you will find Randy has the rights for all of N. America. They are a nice comfortable helmet, great for working in a vehicle, confined space, building collapse and trench rescue... did I leave any others out?

I have the kevlar, I wouldn't trade it in for any other helmet.

These are very well made helmets, JH. I have had the short brimmed fire helmet for 8 years and wouldn't trade it for the world. I also wear the Cairns 660 ( Dept. issued White )but prefer my Pacific during training and instructing.

These helmets are pricey but as has been said well worth the investment.
