My company just purchased 18 new pickets for our rescue truck. We are having a problem purchasing a picket puller. We have one at our county fire academy, but it seems to be the only one in the area. We have tried general contractors and hardware stores. Any help would be great appreciated.

about the picket puller. try local farm supply store or possibly catalogs such as northern hydraulics. they sell steel fence post pullers that work well for pulling pickets. also you could also get together with fellow brothers and make 1 with out to much work. hope it helps. stay low - stay safe

Another place to check is your local highway department. I have seen both manual levers and hydraulic types used to pull road sign posts.

Picket is a new term to me also.. I always thought you found them standing around the burn barrell at a labor dispute... but I have never seen one pounded into the ground (but I suppose management would like to do that to them). Am I guessing correctly that you are refering to a post you pound into the ground to secure a piece of cribbing???

We get a catalog from Northern Equipment. They have fence post pullers that would work.
