Cribbing

We are in the process of replacing all of our cribbing. I am wondering what a basic set of cribbing would consist of. Our current set is basically a mix of all different sizes of wood. I'm basically wondering how many step chocks, wedges, blocks, etc. we should have.

Also, how do most of our store/transport your cribbing? We currently use 2 large milk crates filled with cribbing. I've been thinking about building some sort of custom rack inside the compartment to store all of the cribbing.

Do a search on this forum using the keywords cribbing, wedges, 4x4, etc. You'll find a host of suggestions in the archives as I've seen this topic come up on several occasions. If I recall some replies will include complete cribbing inventory ideas. You will also come across the hardwood vs. softwood debates.
