I guess everyone uses more steel carabiners and steel figure eights than aluminum ones? I have only used carabiners with screw locking gates. Does anyone use another type of 2 action locking gate in rescue work?

The only two-step to open carabiners that I use are on a line-transfer setup I use, the only drawback with them is the extra step to open the gate, the ones I have you have to twist the cover 1/4 turn to un-lock the gate. It can be done one handed and it locks closed when you release it.Peace to our fallen brothers...
