I know this isn't the proper section of the forum for this, but I have grown to respect the opinions and trust the information provided by the regulars here. We were going over the Scott RIT Pak II at work today and the question came up about the Schrader connection on the manifold with the EBSS connection and the MMR connection. Since my Dept as well as the mutual aid departments we deal with only use Scott, we were wondering what other manufacturers utilize this connection. If I'm understanding the things that I've been reading, the Schrader connection with the proper male counter part can be utilized to provide a continuous air supply from an air truck or some other larger source to the RIT PAK II for extended operations. Will this connection allow the RIT PAK to be connected to other SCBA manufacturers and if so which ones?

Do a Youtube search for Scott RIT Pak and click on the training from Sacramento City FD. That should clear-up any confusion you have."Be LOUD, Be PROUD..... It just might save your can someday when goin' through an intersection!!!!!"

John,
We use MSA's that offer the URC connection and similar features. With the "Universal RIT Connection" we can supply air to a down brother regardless of their pack manufacture. I came across this site...don't know if it will be of any use to you but here's the link anyway.
