Foam?

Question for you ARFF guys. I've been trying to find an answer but haven't had any luck.

It's my understanding that AR-AFFF foam cannot be used for airport firefighting. Is that true and does anyone know why?

The FAA mandates the use of Mil-Spec AFFF but that will be changing in the near future to where they will allow alternatives to AFFF. At this point based on testing, only Fluorine Free Foam(s) that I would put in an ARFF vehicle are National Foams "Avio Green KHC" and Angus Fire's "JetFoam", both at 3%
