Michigan does not accept IFSAC though, and no one is hiring here anyway.

Wisconsin is an IFSAC state.
I am having a hard time understanding why people seem to feel the need to point out, however incorectly, that getting training prior to employment is a negative. In the area I am employed in some departments require nothing other than you are breathing to apply, some require FF1 and EMT, some go as far as to require FF2, Paramedic, and 60 hours of college credits...JUST TO APPLY!
My advice get the training, or at least check and see what is common locally as to prehire requirements.Last edited by FyredUp; 02-24-2011, 10:15 PM.Crazy, but that's how it goes
