hello all, My name is Eric. Just going to look through the boards, its been many years since I have been here.
Just a little background, I got involved with firefighting since i was about 4. My father was chief of our local volunteer FD. I was there all the time. I joined when I turned 15 as a junior firefighter. I stayed in that dept for 10 years achieving the rank 1st lieutenant. I then got married to my high school sweetheart and had twin boys and moved to another dept. I spent 4 years there. My last year there, my boys were born and I lost 2 friends in a neighboring department due to drowning on a recovery. So I re-evaluated my life and stopped running. I still have the utmost respect for my brothers and thought I would stop in and see if i have anything at all to offer.
