Hello to all! My name is Brandon and I am a fulltime firefighter/paramedic in Hillsboro, Ohio. I have a question that maybe some can help me with. My fiance recently moved to NYC for a new job. I have searched and searched NJ and NY for a job, but no luck. Does anyone know of any place hiring out there? I have signed up for FDNY's test, but I know absolutely nothing about the area....so I don't even know where to search. Can anyone help? Thanks and stay safe.

Hi Brandon, you are not too far from us. My husband and I are volunteer FF's with Jackson Township Fire & Rescue in Clermont County, on Route 50 just west of Fayetteville. Good to see someone from just up the road!

As for NYC, hopefully someone else can answer your question about hiring up there.

hey brandon, there are plenty of paid depts in the tri state area. i think the fdny test is in jan 07. good luck if you sit for it.
