Hello, I'm new to firehouse and the forum. I have been involved in EMS for 23+ years. Started out as a Medic in the Air Force then worked for LA City Fire for a couple of years before getting into the private sector out in the San Bernardino and Riverside areas. I am currently in Fort Dodge, Iowa and work PRN ("as needed" for the rookies) for our local Hospital Based Ambulance Service and full time, I am an Operations Supervisor for a Chemical Plant where we produce Anhydrous Ammonia and UAN and I am the leader of the Haz Mat Team and the Confined Space Rescue Team here at the plant. I love the work as a Medic but as you all already know, you're not going to get rich working in EMS. I look forward to reading about what is happening around the country in Fire and EMS and hope I can be of some help sometime too.
