hey what's up? I'm not a firefight, i m just an 18 year old college student. I look forward to chatting with firefighters and learning the lifestyle. everydya i feel the need to realize my dream fo becoming a firefighter. so thanx for reading this and i hope to chat soon.

Welcome, I can offer you this bit of advice,
Visit fire houses, meet members on the job, volunteer (or get paid) if available in your area, obtain your EMT cert. (Medic prefered) and never,ever listen to KGHEMTP, he still doesn't know what he wants to be when HE grows up.

welcome to the forum. Most firefighters are more than willing to help you out. Sometime in th efire service you have to move somewhere else to realize dream. If you have difficulty getting hired or voted on, don't worry there are departments all over the country that need willing and able bodiesComment
