My name is Mitch. I recently joined a Volly Department in a town in PA I recently moved to. I have about 10 years on and off with a First Aid Squad in Jersey. I became an EMT and was Chief Driver and acting LT for awhile. I also did about 6 years with the NJSP a dispatcher. Wanted to try out the fire side of things and meet some people in the area.
As of today I have been a partial member for about 2 months and like it a lot so far. I have only been on 5 calls with this department and am amazed how everyone up to the Chief have no problem answering questions and showing me things. We have had 2 parades already and it was a new experience to the "brotherhood"
Hoping to learn as much as possible before I start Fire 1 in September.
