  • Volunteer Rescue Squad needs help.

I work with a Rescue Squad that is 100% volunteer and in desperate need of some serviceable sets of turnout gear. Our budget right now (mainly consists of donations) won't allow us to buy any new gear. Does anyone know of any Fire Departments that would be willing to donate maybe one or two sets of their old gear (that is still useable)? My hope is that I can get about ten departments to donate one set (coat and pants) to last us about a year or so until we get the needed funding to buy more gear.

If you can help, feel free to post here or email me and let me know.

Contact Steve Carden at the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads in Knoxville. If your squad is a member, you can participate in the TARS "Aid to Squads" program at the annual convention and at other times during the year.
