Would you be interested in a SCBA confidence / qualification course or do you intend for the candidates to run out of air. I do a confidence / qualification with the goal being to get through the course on one tank, (30 min.) and the ability to "go again" if necessary...we have a "two tank" rule where after any member has spent two (30 min.) tanks, he must go to rehab. Some members barely finish the course, most finish with air and time to spare.

Borrow a larger building and set up a consumption course and just make sure it is large enough or complicated enough so no one can finish on a single tank.
Tell the guys that the goal is not to run out of air. It will be interesting to see what happens when the bell goes off.
We have been able to use many of the large buildings in our town (ADSN) for similar drills, most notable was the lost ff in a large structure.
A little stage smoke and no lights have worked well for us.

    Good Luck

I am looking for examples of drills done by departments to teach/emphasize the Point of No Return concept.
