looking for an address correction letter????

I have run several calls where the address was not visible from the road.
I have also run several calls where the address was wrong. Does anyone have a letter asking the resident to correct this problem?

The real question is....where would you send the letter to???? Best bet would be to address the problem at the end of the call. Just ask them to update or place visible address at the road. This way they would be helping you help them!!!!

We do address the problem at the end of the call but would like to send a reminder a few days later. When the person is not dealing with the stress from the call.

That's a pretty good start. Also, if your area already has some type of ordinance in place which requires owners to have a marked address, I would bring that to their attention as well. Many people are not aware of the fact that they could possibly be violating a town/city ordinance, as well as delaying emergency responders.

Also check with your Citys Building Inspectors. I know that in the ICC 2003 Residential Code it indicates that an address needs to be posted that is plainly visible and legible from the street. These guys might have some kind of letter already in place or they might be able to assist you in correcting the problem. Good luck.
