I want to see how many chaplains and peer counselors are active on this message board. It would be interesting to find out who out there is active in the chaplaincy. So check in here, and tell us how long you have been a chaplain and where you serve as a chaplain.

Just started...
Hello Wendy,
I am new to fire chaplaincy and I am reading as much information that I can find. I was just accepted as chaplain to a fire department in Washtington state. If anyone has any fire chaplain manuals gathering dust, send them my way.
I am totally honored to be connected!

We usually go out with a minister of some kind when we debrief. If it starts getting very religous they have a way to bring it back to the issues at hand. All of the clergy in our teams have been trained in CISD.
I have found the groups we have done debriefings for will usually look them up afterwards and just chat with them.Les Hartford

The views posted here are strickly my own and not of any of the groups I am affiliated with.
