My condolences to the Hall family and the Upland Fire Department of New Hampshire. FireFighter Sidney Hall, a 15 year volunteer with the Upland Volunteer Fire Department, died Friday January 5, 2007. Two days earlier, Sidney had responded to a structure fire at the home of a Marion Firefighter. After taking a few steps in the front door, Sidney fell into the basement through a hole that the fire had burned. He was rescued by his fellow firefighters and airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He succumbed to his injuries two days later. Seven other firefighters were injured during the rescue.
