  • LODD Millerton, NY - Hector 'Sandy' McClune Memorial

My condolences to the McClune family and the members of the Millerton Fire Department of New York. FireFighter Hector 'Sandy' McClune, 76, a 40-year active life member of the Millerton Fire Department, died Sunday November 26, 2006. Sandy was assisting with extinguishment of a grass fire at the Millerton Elementary School when he collapsed at the scene. His brother firefighters attempted to resuscitate him, but were unable. He was transported to Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Connecticut where he was pronounced dead. I have created a permanent memorial for Sandy McClune on my website. More news, information, and photos can be found at:

On behalf of the Millerton Fire Department, we would like to thank everyone for their support and condolences in this rough time for the McClune family and the MFD. We would also like to thank those who have kept the McClune family and others effected in their prayers and thoughts.

Mr. McDonald, I thank you for creating that web page for Sandy, it's a very nice tribute.
