Rest in peace Wilbur....May God bless!

SAYVILLE, Long Island (AP) - A member of the Sayville, Long
Island volunteer fire department died while responding to a fire
    alarm yesterday.
Sayville Fire Chief Mark Beekman says 78-year-old Wilbur Ritter
had been a member of the volunteer department since 1947. He
arrived at the firehouse at 9:46 yesterday morning as volunteers
were heading to a call of a hazardous condition at the Eckerd Drug
Store on Main Street, Sayville. As a member of the fire police
squad, Ritter's job was to direct traffic at the fire scene.
Fire members say Ritter looked sick and began complaining of
chest pains. He was given first aid at the firehouse and the
Sayville Community Ambulance took him to Brookhaven Memorial
    Hospital, where he died.
The funeral for Ritter - who was an honorary fire captain - will
    be Friday.
