How do you keep attendance in your fire company?

Usually every Monday there is a firehouse function, whether it be Drill/Mini-Drill/Meeting ; Sundays before meeting nights are station and truck cleanup days.
We try to make it so thats it always the same. You know to be there at 7 pm on Monday. You know to be here at 10 am on Sunday.
Also we made up a text list of active members and assigned it to a group, so that Monday afternoon or that Saturday before we'll send out a text " Hose Advancement/Fire Attack drill tonight 7 pm. Expected to run to 815".
Something like that just to keep people informed, remembering, and what they can let their families know what to expect.
