Hurry up and wait?

I hate to beat a dead horse, but, reassurnance is needed considering the cost of single malt scoth and Copenhagen.

We received and replied to the 10Qs, and our 2006 application number is listed on our 2004 1199A, yet we have not received an announcement or a new 1199A.

Does any one see a problem other than jittery nerves on my part?

According to our FPS there is about 1 month more of awards. No DJ = good news. You have the indicators (reference to 1199A & 10's) for a potential award. Don't look for a new 1199A, that only occurs for 1st timers. It's a waiting game at this point. Some departments have been waiting months without any word on their award.

Our 10 Qs were sent in the group that all said "Dear ____"

We received an update to an old 1199a approx. 4 weeks ago. The DHS rep. for our region told us that if we did not receive the 10 questions after 8 weeks, to contact him and he would look into it.

Here is our story:

2006 Award Reference Number appeared on old 1199a links the week of Thanksgiving.

Call & e-mail to help desk in Dec & Jan. Told to check our e-mail. Nothing there.

Emails to Regional Contractor early this month. Same story. Nothing there again

Today - call from DHS with 10 Questions, since we did not respond to their e-mail in December.

Two minutes ago - still no e-mail on the DHS mail system.

Now - very happy that they followed up and made "THE CALL" to us.

We had the same communications problem in 2004. Is it a technical problem on our end, or is there a flaw in the e-mail notification system?

Get this. In November I get my 1199 and 10qs. Today I get a reduction letter taking my 50k grant down to 38k. No explanation along with a new set of 10qs. I thought all of the redutions and stuff was done by now?

Mid January we got a request for reduction on Turn-out via a phone call. I was told everything else (SCBA's) was OK and this would be the only reduction. Started holding breath for the award. Then this past Tuesday I get another call wanting a reduction on the extra Face Pieces we wanted for the SCBA's (going for a mask for each FF). I argued the point, don't know yet if I won, lost, or its a draw.
