    Some more fun facts.

Last Year after the 1/27/06 announcements they only awarded 235 more grants and those were not announced until Aug. 2006 (excess funds).

Maybe the employees should get paid by the Grant released not by the hour.

Well ain't much snow up here but the high today was 10. Without the wind chill of course, 20-25mph winds. Low of 2 overnight. I managed to find a pair of gloves, but the only winter hat I have is my Grinch hat.

You have a hood don't you? Work dandy to keep the ears warm (and the girls love em). See if you can borrow one before you head out to Hooters for dinner.

Nope no hood either. Don't think there's a Hooters around either....

Quite true. Although it is supposed to be -10 or something with wind chill.

When I was a freshman at RPI we hit -80 one night on wind chill. -30 and a fierce wind coming right up the hill off the Hudson. We had a 1/4" of ice on the inside of our dorm windows, even the one under the heater. Didn't make classes that day. Barely made the meals, only reason was chow hall was 50' from the front door.

                    BC79er

Brian, thanks for the great seminar in Salem, NY. Well worth the 4 hour drive, both ways. The only problem was a town cop in Greenwich on the way home. He was supposed to be at your seminar, so the 46mph in a 30mph didn't result in a ticket!! Keeping our fingers crossed for the 06 award next Friday. Whether y'all know it or not, y'all pretty much won this one for us since we got most of our info and education from y'alls website and yall's posts on the forums.

I feel bad for those who missed this seminar. I always used to hate guys like you at Clarkson who would throw the curve way out of whack when I was on the low end. Glad I got your cliff notes and the exam questions now and glad to be back to being another one of the guys who will really throw the curve way out of whack next year. Nice to be an A student now rather then a C student rolling the dice.

                    Jeff

Well you must have distracted him before I came through. Nice of him to let you out of the ticket too.

I see my y'alls wore of on you too.

Thanks to everyone that came out, I had a good time myself. The 1" of snow was good too. Just enough to make it nice but not slide off the road.

What does that leave for funds in the vehicle catagory?
We still haven't received a DJ or 1199A update and it's the end of January.

Only $20 mil in trucks left, probably half of it spoken for already.

                            Thanks Brian.
So that's roughly 50-60 vehicle apps still in limbo! You would think that this late into the process they would know by now who they are going to fund for vehicles and let departments know one thing or another. We would like to know something before the next application period opens.

Don't see knowing being an issue, they won't be done with the awards but all of the DJs and 1199As will be out before the end of Feb.
