The search function isn't working for me, and I thought someone here might have the answer on this, otherwise I will call the help desk tomorrow...

A neighboring department called me and asked about their department classification on their application for FPS. They are not a staffed department, their firefighters receive a small monetary payment (I think they said something like a flat $20 per fire call). What is their classification? Do they choose Volunteer or Paid On Call? Or does Paid on Call mean something else entirely?

    Thanks,
    Beth

They would be classified as "Paid On Call" based on the AFG Glossary of Terms.

    Paid-On-Call
A form of compensation to part-time firefighters or other emergency responders in which the responders only report to work and receive compensation when contacted by a dispatcher.
