10q question

  • 10q question

    I have a question and looking for an answer. We received our 10q's the other day, (very exciting). I answered all questions correctly and sent it back right away. Well I was revieweing the 10 questions with our treasurer and he stated that our EIN # was wrong. I had answered 7b that our EIN was correct. So in a panic I sent an email to the grant specialist and told her what happened. I am currently waiting for a reply but want to know from people on this fine forum what the circumstances will be and how much does this delay the award of the grant? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'd follow up that e-mail with a phone call to the Help Desk (1-866-274-0960). I'm betting they'll get you fixed up pretty quick and there will be little delay. (that is my opinion, not a voice of experience)

      We had exactly the same problem. Our app was submitted with an incorrect EIN, and when we submitted our 1199, it originally went in with the wrong EIN. You should be able to call them and they can release the 1199A. You will need to enter the correct number, submit online and then print it and get it signed again. We sent ours FedEx and it was accepted the next day. I would guess they can easily update the answers to the 10q. The only delay comes from having to re-submit the 1199A with the correct info...

        called help desk

        I called the help desk and spoke with Steve, he told me to pull down the original email that was sent to me and re-submit the 10q with the correct EIN #. I asked him if that was it and he stated that was all I needed to do.

          Sounds good. The EINdoes show up on the 1199a, but maybe they will do the change without a new 1199a. Keep us posted as you begin to draw funds. Good luck!!
